The Last Dinner Party have just announced the release of This is The Killer Speaking, the first single off their sophomore album. This follows a series of cryptic clues delivered to fans over the last week, including a phone number fans could call to hear lead singer, Abigail Morris, recite some of the song’s lyrics.

Avid fans of the group are sure to be delighted by the announcement, as the song has become a staple of the band’s live sets and supporters have been eagerly awaiting its release. The single will be accompanied by the release of a Western-inspired music video, which was teased on the band’s Instagram.

The band’s debut album, Prelude to Ecstasy, was a smash hit and struck a chord with many thanks to its opulent baroque pop style. When speaking about the new project, the band’s rhythm guitarist, Lizzie Mayland, hinted the album would explore darker and more overtly politcal themes reflective of the current state of the world.

This is The Killer Speaking is set to drop this Thursday (July 17th) at 18:30 BST.
