2000trees returns to Cheltenham with strong lineup
2000trees is back for its 18th year, and with no shortage of well-known bands on the billing.
Having started back in 2007, 2000trees has established itself as one of the more intimate festivals on the circuit. With a strong emphasis on community and creating that close-knit setting that makes for, in my opinion, a more memorable experience.
This year, American throwback pop punk bands are on the menu, bringing all the nostalgia to this Cheltenham-based four-day fest. Welcoming the likes of NY heavyweights Taking Back Sunday, Alexisonfire and Coheed and Cambria to the fields of Cheltenham for a weekend that, whether you’ve grown up listening to these guys or you’re just wrapping your ears around them, you’ll be in for a treat.
Kicking off on Wednesday 9th July, UK headliners Hot Milk and Kid Kapichi bring their blend of post-punk indie that’ll warm the crowd up nicely, before Irish hip-hop trio KNEECAP take to the stage on Thursday. After dominating headlines by standing true to their beliefs, KNEECAP know how to use music for good, and I, for one, am very excited to see what the Belfast trio will be bringing to Upcote Farm this July.
