Chartreuse have announced details of their latest album, Bless You & Be Well, set for release on Friday 29th August via Communion Records. The announcement marks a powerful new chapter for the Black Country four-piece following recent praise for singles I’m Losing It and Sequence of Voices.

Bless You & Be Well was recorded in the secluded Icelandic studio Flóki, with producer Sam Petts-Davies (The Smile) and engineer Oli Middleton. The studio’s remote northern location provided the ideal backdrop for introspection, allowing the band to retreat from outside noise and immerse themselves in the creative process.

The decision to bring in outside collaborators after self-producing their debut record wasn’t taken lightly. “It’s daunting at first,” the band admits, but Petts-Davies’ laid-back approach proved pivotal. “You are a band and this is how you sound, so let’s just run with it,” he told them, a mantra that helped the group trust their instincts and embrace imperfection.

Alongside this news, the band have also shared their new single Fold, offering a further taste of what’s to come. Described by vocalist and pianist Hattie Wilson as “an odd little love song”, Fold explores the emotional disorientation of supporting someone through hardship. “It’s about the desperation to make everything okay when the other person is navigating a tough patch. The feeling of being out of control and you can’t instantly make everything better for them, trying to get it all back to normal as quickly as you can,” Wilson shares.

The album will also be accompanied by a UK headline tour this autumn, with dates in Manchester’s Deaf Institute and London’s Bush Hall. Full details below.

Bless You & Be Well is out August 29th via Communion Records. Pre-order here.
