Billy Idol unshackles fiery new single ‘Still Dancing’
The ‘80s rock icon lets loose a sneery trip down memory lane, ahead of first full-length album in 10 years Dream Into It.

Billy Idol, veteran rock star and singer behind hits Rebel Yell and White Wedding, has announced his first full-length album in over a decade. Dream Into It, out April 25th, will feature appearances from a plethora of artistic talent, seeing the sneering punk rocker collaborate with the likes of Avril Lavigne and Joan Jett.
The news comes as Idol last year re-released his iconic 1983 album, Rebel Yell, in expanded formats, and this year embarks on his It’s a Nice Day To… Tour Again! tour. The intercontinental run will see him perform at the Forever Now Festival in Milton Keynes and a special date at OVO Wembley Arena on June 24th. These mark Idol’s only UK appearances of 2025, and will include appearances from icons of the post-punk scene, New Model Army.
The music video for Still Dancing, the album’s lead single, is out now, and sees Idol once again in full control of both dancefloor and mosh pit, fusing signature punk-rock, crunchy guitar with poppy hooks and swaggering, adolescent indifference. The track features contributions from long-time bandmate and guitarist, Steve Stevens.
Still Dancing, Idol explains, “is really a reflection of my whole journey… I’m recalling the early times in London, all my belongings in a plastic bag.” It comes as the Dancing With Myself singer was also nominated for 2025’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame which, if chosen by fans and judges alike, will see him in a class alongside musical deities like Led Zeppelin, Bowie and Pink Floyd. The Class of 2025 also sees nominations from Bad Company, Joy Division/New Order and Oasis.
Dream Into It, Idol’s first new material since The Cage EP in 2022, is out April 25th via Dark Horse Records and can be pre-ordered here.
