Dynamic alt-rock quartet Balancing Act have announced details of their sophomore EP Tightropes and Limericks, due for release on October 4th via The Vertex.

The announcement comes just hours after the band released their latest single Laylow, an addictive new track that not only commands and demands attention, but also firmly establishes the quartet’s latest evolution as one not to be missed.

Discussing the EP, Balancing Act said: “[The EP is] announcing the next chapter of the band, we know what Balancing Act is and where it can go, this body of work is another teaser of what that could be. We’re tighter than ever and far more sure of ourselves, we’re ready to shift up another gear”.

As well as announcing their latest EP, Balancing Act will also soon hit the road for a series of live dates in support of iDKHOW (I Don’t Know How But They Found Me), before undertaking their first full festival season playing the likes of Tramlines, Y Not and Truck Festival.

Playing to some of their biggest crowds yet, the London-based quartet can be caught at venues such as London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Glasgow’s SWG3, and Manchester’s O2 Ritz. See full details below.

Tightropes and Limericks is out October 4th via The Vertex.
